ATHLETIC EXCELLENCE OF YELLOWJACKETS AWARDED BY OKLAHOMA COACHES ASSOCIATION
As the coolness of fall sets in, there is perhaps no better way to enjoy it than at one of Choctaw High School’s exhilarating athletic events.
You see, not only are the student participants amazing, but Athletic Director Todd Dilbeck, backed by his staff of talented coaches, were honored by the Oklahoma Coaches Association (OCA) for athletic excellence.
The reason for Dilbeck’s quest for excellence in all things high school sports revolves around the students. He believes that Choctaw students deserve the absolute best when it comes to qualified support, so only the best person should be in charge of leading youth in athletic programs. And, the Yellowjackets should rest assured that they are all in good hands!
During the 2015-16 school year, the Oklahoma Coaches Association supervised coaches within eight different regions throughout the state and identified outstanding coaches in each sport. Some coaches were presented with awards during OCA All-State Week and the Coaches Conventions during the summer while others received their awards prior to the convention.
All these coaches were direct influences in the Yellowjackets claiming nine state championships last season, along with state titles consisting of dual state and team wrestling, softball, one-act play and powerlifting. Other state championships included football, cheerleading and baseball.
Yellowjackets…Go! Fight! Win! Linked magazine wishes you the very best during the 2016-17 athletic season!
