Bringing over 28 years of experience in public education, Angela Mills Grunewald was named Edmond Public Schools' new associate superintendent this month on May 8. She'll be succeeding Ruthie Riggs, who is retiring in August after serving 22 years with the district.

Ensuring that our district is in good hands, Superintendent Bret Towne praised Mills as an accomplished educator who will provide strong leadership and a positive vision for our schools during a challenging time.

“Dr. Grunewald is well-positioned and prepared to lead Edmond's education services department,” he said. “Her experience as an elementary and middle school principal, as well as her time spent leading curriculum and instruction in two other school districts gives her a unique background to direct this dynamic, critical department within our district.”
